2 Purpose
2.1 Intended use
The altitude kit is required for longer heater operation of the
Combi D at altitudes of 1500 to 2750 m�
2.2 Unintended use
All other uses, which are not listed under intended use,
are not permitted and are therefore forbidden�
2.3 Operating permit
The following circumstances will invalidate the
operating permit for the device:
Modification of the device, including the

accessories�
Use of parts other than Truma genuine parts as
•
spare parts and accessories�
Failure to observe the information in these operating
•
instructions�
In some countries, these circumstances may also
invalidate the operating permit for the vehicle�

2.5 General safety
Failure to observe the regulations in the operating
instructions can result in significant property damage
and pose a serious threat to health or life�
Read the safety instructions and follow them exactly
to rule out hazards and personal injury or property
damage�
Observe locally applicable laws, guidelines and
standards regarding the use and operation of the
device�

2.6 Obligations of the operator / vehicle
owner
Device safety
Ensure that the device can be operated and
controlled properly in all operating phases�
2.7 Behaviour in the event of faults
Have faults corrected immediately and only by a
specialist�
2.8 Installation, removal, conversion
Only skilled and trained personnel (specialists)
observing the installation and operating instructions
and the currently accepted codes of practice may
install, repair and perform functional testing on the
Truma product� Specialists are persons who, as a
result of their specialist education and training and
their knowledge and experience with Truma products
and the applicable standards, are able to perform the
required work properly and recognise the potential
hazards�
Do not independently install, remove or convert the
device�
Only have installation, removal or conversion work
performed by specialists�
