Performing Warning-Score
Select Menu > Score > Setting > Common and set Method to Score Calculator (default) or Auto
Score.
If Score Calculator is selected, manually input the parameters for score and set Save Data to Trigger
Score to On or Off. If It is set to On, the monitor starts scoring after clicking Save in the main interface.
Select Reset to clear the previous score and re-obtain the data from the monitor. Manually input the
other parameter values. Click Start to perform scoring.
If Auto Score is selected, manually input the parameters for score (HR/PR, SYS, SpO
obtained automatically) and then click Start. The monitor will automatically start scoring:
– At the completion of each NIBP measurement with valid SYS value;
– At the completion of each TEMP measurement with valid TEMP value;
– After updating the input content of custom score parameters.
The monitor terminates the auto scoring in any of the conditions:
1 Click Stop in the score interface.
2 Change the score method or score type.
3 Switch the patient.
4 The monitor is powered off.
5 The monitor enters Standby mode.
6 Change the patient type.
For NEWS2, set the SpO
Scale 1: for patients without hypercapnic respiratory failure.
Scale 2: for patients with a prescribed oxygen saturation requirement of 88–92%, for instance, COPD
(Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) patients.
NOTE
PEWS only supports Score Calculator method.
NOTE
If any of score parameters is not completely input, the monitor will prompt information: Incomplete input,
fail to score.
NOTE
In Ward Round mode, RR, Oxygen, Pain and Consciousness can be obtained according to Custom
Parameters, which are consistent with the data of Custom Parameters entered by the user in the main
interface.
