12 Trouble shooting

During most situations, the inverter requires very little attention. However, if the
inverter is not working correctly, please refer to the following instructions before
calling your local dealer. The user can typically solve most of the problems.

Whenever the red (Fault) LED is illuminated, the LCD will display the
information relating to the problem. Please read this information and refer to the
table below:

Possible actions
1. In IP65 models, check cable glands and gaskets
are properly installed. In IP43 models, check that
inverter is protected from humidity and rain.
2. Check the PV generator insulation resistance with
respect to ground by detaching every MC3 input
connector from the inverter, short-circuiting every
couple of them and measuring the resistance by
means of a MEGER instrument, applying a test
voltage lower than maximum system voltage of
PV modules.
3. Check the Neutral to ground voltage: it should be
lower than 10V
4. Check the resistance of the protection earth: it
should comply with "Required ground resistance"

5. In case the above verifications don't help to solve
the problem, call service
Proceed as for Isolation fault.
Measure grid voltage on inverter's output connector
and on energy counter's terminal block. If after
inverter has started to feed the grid, the voltage
increase is bigger on inverter's output than on
counter, please check all the connections between
these two points and verify the cable section is
adequate to its length. If the voltage increase is
almost equal, please ask your electricity supplier to
adequate the power line.
