burns if the poles of the battery are short-
circuited by hand or by means of conduc-
ting objects.
2.2 Improper use
Any use of the machine for purposes not
covered under "Prescribed usage" or con-
tractually agreed on is not permissible.
Operation of the machine in unserviceable
condition or not in compliance with the fol-
lowing instructions is prohibited.
– Protective devices must not be removed
or bypassed.
– Conversions and modifications to the
product are not permitted.
2.3 Organizational points
It is the responsibility of the operator to
ensure that
– the machine is used only by persons
who have been instructed in its handling
and expressly authorized to use it.
– the recognized occupational safety rules
are observed.
– any further national or internal company
regulations are observed.
– all users are acquainted with the safety
regulations and have been trained in the
use of the specific machine.
– all users have read and understood the
operating instructions before using the
machine.
– the responsibilities for operation, mainte-
nance and repair of the machine are cle-
arly assigned and observed.
– faults and damage are immediately
reported to the Wetrok Service Agent.
2.4 Emergencies
Following incidents, do not put the
machine into operation again before it is
checked by Wetrok.
2.5 Operating for the first time
Delivery, instruction on safety regulations,
handling and maintenance as well as ope-
ration for the first time are normally carried
out by a specialist approved by Wetrok.
Where this is not the case, the operator is
responsible for instructing the users.
Further safety instructions concerning
operation and maintenance are detai-
led in the relevant sections and must
be complied with!
3. Operation
3.1 Safety instructions
– Before the machine is used, the tank
(upper part of machine) and the tank
cover must be closed and locked and
the key withdrawn.
– Remove the key from the main switch
when travelling on elevators.
– During operation, caution should be
exercised with respect to third parties,
especially children.
– To avoid injuries, wear sturdy footwear.
– When cleaning and servicing the machi-
ne, changing parts or exchange brus-
hes, switch off the drive and withdraw
the key from the main switch.
– Only original Wetrok cleaning attach-
ments must be used.
– Do not drive on slopes with more then
8% gradients.
– When the machine is not in use remove
the key from the main switch in order to
avoid unintentional movement or unau-
thorized use.
– Before working on electrical installations,
the cable between batteries and machi-
ne must be disconnected.
3.2 Restrictions on use
The machine is not to be used at tempera-
tures below 0°C.
The water temperature must not exceed
50°C.
3.3 Fitting attachments, making
adjustments
The choice of cleaning agent and attach-
ments depends on the type of floor and its
degree of soiling.
Basic cleaning or severe soiling:
Wetrok Remat or Antiwax/Exal, dosage
1:20.
Smooth floors: pad drive disc with black or
green Wetrok Polypad.
Rough floors (e.g. natural stone): scrubbing
brush.
Upkeep cleaning:
Wetrok Redur or Resal, dosage 1:100.
Pad drive disc and green or red Polypad,
possibly scrubbing brush.
Do not use foaming cleaning agents or
flammable solvents.
Fitting the cleaning attachments:
– Only original Wetrok cleaning attach-
ments must be used.
Place working elements under brush unit
line up as close as possible, ( if using pad
drive discs attach pad to discs first).
To start the semi automatic coupling cycle
press brush coupling switch (C 8) wait until
cycle is complete.
If necessary the semi automatic coupling
cycle can be stopped by pressing switch
(C 8) again.
Caution, on sensitive floor coverings it is
advisable to attach the working elements
manually.
Removing the cleaning
attachments
Raise the brush housing to the upper posi-
tion. Operate brush ejection lever (B 4) with
the foot.
Filling with fresh water/cleaning
agent:
– Lift up tank cover
– Fill fresh water tank with water
– Add desired cleaning agent in the pres-
cribed dose.
Dosage instructions must be fol-
lowed.
– Close tank cover
Adjusting the suction nozzle
The ideal angle for the suction nozzle
depends on the type of floor. In the basic
position, the nozzle should rest flat on the
floor. With the machine in motion, turn the
angle setting screw (A 10) until the optimal
suction effect is obtained.
3.4 Operation
Putting the machine into operation
– Switch on key-operated main switch
– Switch on brush motor: the brush unit
lowers automatically to a standby posi-
tion
– Switch on suction motor: the suction
nozzle lowers automatically
– On driving away the brush motor starts
and lowers to the floor, the brush pres-
sure adjusts and the water supply opens
automatically.
Driving lever upwards = forward move-
ment
Driving lever downwards = reverse
movement
If the machine is stationary for more
than 3 seconds, the brush motor
and the water supply automatically
switchs off.
Depending on the degree of soiling, the
brush pressure and the water supply can
be readjusted with the pushbuttons (C 10 +
C 3).
The water supply and brush pressure revert
to their basic settings when the machine is
switched off with the main key switch.
Working method
– Sweep or dump mop floor first.
– Choose long driving distances wherever
possible.
– When working in strips, overlap the edge
of the clean surface by about 3 - 5 cm
in the next pass.
– Adjust water supply and driving speed to
the degree of soiling of the floor.
– Always supply sufficient water. The deta-
ched dirt should be washed away with
as much liquid as possible and sucked
up.
– Heavily soiled floors (even before basic
cleaning) should first be wet with clea-
ning solution and this should be allowed
to act for a few minutes.
Parking and emergency brake
The machine can be abruptly stopped by
pressing the emergency brake bar (C 5)
when an obstacle is suddenly encountered.
Driving on inclines
Driving on a slope, the speed of the machi-
ne can be regulated with the drive lever. Do
not drive on slopes with more then 8% gra-
dients.
Monitoring of battery discharge
The green indicator lamp (C 6) lights up
when the batteries are fully charged. The
yellow lamp lights up to indicate imminent
discharge (only around another 20 min of
operating time). The final discharge is indi-
