cated by a flashing red lamp. After around
3 minutes, the indicator lamp changes to
red and at the same time the brush motor
is automatically switched off. After approxi-
mately
1 minute the suction motor will be switched
off to.
Brush pressure adjustment
The basic machine setting is approx. 30 kg.
Depending on the degree of soiling, the
pressure can be adjusted from 20 to 50 kg
with the switches (C 10). If a rougher floor
area is passed over in the course of the
work, the brush pressure is automatically
reset (overload protection). If permitted by
the nature of the floor, the pressure is read-
justed to the original level.
Water supply regulation
The basic machine setting is approx. 2
l/min. Depending on the degree of soiling,
the flow can be adjusted from 1 to 6 l/min
with the switches (C 3).
Suction nozzle lowering
The suction nozzle is automatically lowered
when the suction motor is switched on. It is
automatically raised when driving in reverse.
By switching off the suction motor, the
nozzle is raised and the suction motor runs
for around 10 more seconds so that the
residual water is removed from the nozzle
and suction hose.
Emptying the wastewater tank
The wastewater tank is equipped with an
electronic shut-off device. When the maxi-
mum level is reached by water or foam, the
suction motor is automatically switched off
(switch C 4 flashes).
Draining with the drain hose (A 11): Rinse
out tank with clean water.
Each time the water is changed, the waste-
water tank must be completely emptied.
Recycling system (option)
In machines equipped with the recycling
system, either fresh water or recycled water
may be used.
For working with recycled water, pushbut-
ton (C 7) must be pressed; the machine
then automatically switches to the recycling
system. When the pushbutton is pressed
again, the system is switched off and fresh
water is once used again. Each time the
water is changed, the recycling filter (E 1)
must be removed and thoroughly rinsed
under running water.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Safety instructions
Warning:
– Charging must take place in adequa-
tely vented area.
– Batteries contain sulphuric acid. Do
not swallow! Corrosive. Avoid contact
with skin and eyes.
18
– When the batteries are being char-
ged, there is a danger of explosion
due to oxyhydrogen gas which may
form. There is a risk of serious injuries.
If the following precautions are not
observed.
– Never approach the batteries with an
open flame or incandescent objects.
– Avoid creating sparks near the batte-
ries.
– Absolutely no smoking.
– Maintenance-free batteries must not
be opened. It is not necessary to add
distilled water.
– When cleaning and servicing the
machine, changing parts or conver-
ting to a different function, switch off
the drive and remove the key from the
main switch.
– The machine must not be cleaned
with high-pressure steam cleaners or
liquid jets.
– Only Wetrok original spare parts must
be used for repair.
– Only Wetrok original accessories
and cleaning attachments must
be used.
4.2 Maintenance schedule
Maintenance and care are important requi-
rements for satisfactory function and long
service life of the machine.
Daily:
– Empty fresh water tank and rinse.
– Clean fresh water filter.
– Completely empty wastewater tank and
thoroughly rinse with clean water.
– Leave tank cover open when machine is
not in use.
– Remove suction nozzle. Clean suction
duct and suction lips.
– Wipe down the machine with a clean,
slightly damp cloth.
– Carry out battery inspection and mainte-
nance as detailed in the battery inspec-
tion booklet.
– Charge batteries (see Section 4.4).
– Clean recycling filter.
Weekly:
– With conventional wet batteries, measu-
re the acid density of all battery cells.
Check distilled water.
Monthly:
– Clean and grease battery poles.
At 400 hours:
– The carbon brushes of the suction
motor must be checked after approx.
400 operating hours and must be repla-
ced if necessary.
4.3 Replacing the squeegee on
the suction nozzle:
Note the working direction. Fit squeegee
with the comb profile pointing outwards.
4.4 Battery charging
Warning:
– Batteries contain sulphuric acid. Do not
swallow! Corrosive. Avoid contact with
skin and eyes.
– When the batteries are being charged,
there is a danger of explosion due to
oxyhydrogen gas which may form. There
is therefore a risk of serious injuries.
– Never approach the batteries with an
open flame or incandescent objects.
– Avoid creating sparks near the batteries.
– Absolutely no smoking.
– The room must be well ventilated when
the batteries are being charged.
– Conducting objects (e.g. metals) must
not be placed on the batteries.
Safety information for wet-cell
batteries
The battery compartment must be opened
during charging. (Raise tank at least 10
cm.)
Safety information for
maintenance-free batteries
Maintenance-free batteries are only to be
charged with the charger designed for this
purpose.
Maintenance-free batteries must not be
opened. It is not necessary to add distilled
water.
The charger must be permanently connec-
ted to the mains for monitoring the batte-
ries.
Charging procedure
The plug for the charging unit is located
under the impact protection of the front left.
Pull impact protection on one side to the
front in order to release the plug.
Connect charger to charging socket (G 1 /
B 2).
Follow the operating instructions of the bat-
tery charger manufacturer.
Complete charging of a battery requires up
to 12 hours.
5. Troubleshooting and fault
correction
5.1 Note error message on display
(Err.)
– When an error appears on the display,
the Wetrok Service Agent must be con-
tacted and the error number stated.
5.2 Drive motor, brush motor,
suction motor does not run:
– Batteries charged?
– Wastewater tank full, switch C 4 flash-
ing?
5.3 Machine does not stop:
– Have the zero setting of the control lever
reset with the potentiometer by the
Wetrok Service Agent.
5.4 Suction power weak or absent:
– Wastewater tank full, switch C 4 flas-
hing?
