Keep all parts of your body away from the cutting tool
during operation
Do not overload the machine. Use the machine for its
correct usage. If used correctly the machine will do
the desired job.
Do not use this machine if the ¨open¨ and ¨closed¨
switch does not work. Any electric machine that
cannot be controlled by the electric switch is
dangerous and must be repaired.
Look after the machine. Check that all moving parts
are well aligned and that they are not blocked, that
there are no broken pieces or other conditions that
could affect the proper functioning of the machine.
If this machine is damaged, always repair it before
using it again. Most accidents occur because of poor
maintenance.
If the blades hit a strange element whilst in use, stop
the machine, disconnect the machine from the mains
and examine the machine before restarting work. If
you detect any strange sign, take your machine to
your nearest after sales service.
Maintain the cutting elements sharp and clean. The
cutting elements if sharp and clean will cut better, do
a better job, have less chance of getting tangled and
easier to control.
Maintain the handles of the machine dry and clean.
Handles that are not clean and dry cause these to
be slippery and a consequent loss of control over the
machine.
If your machine accidentally takes a knock, inspect the
machine carefully. If the blade bends, the cover break
so if you see any other issue that could affect the
functioning of the machine, take the machine to your
nearest after sales service.
Switch off and unplug the machine, and make sure
the cutting tool is stopped before carrying out any
adjustments to any part of the machine, cleaning,
transport or storage the machine. Such security
measures reduce the risk of accidental start up.
Unplug the machine before carrying out any
maintenance work, change of accessories or before
storing the machine. All these measures ensure that
the machine will not be accidentally started.
If the machine starts vibrating in a strange way,
disconnect the machine and examine it. If you cannot
detect why the machine vibrates, take the machine to
your nearest service dealer. Vibrations are always an
indication of a problem to the machine.
In case of a prolonged stoppage time, unplug the
machine from the mains.
2.5.1. BACK PULL
When the blades are functioning and they come into
contact with a solid object, a dangerous situation
could happen. This situation is called backlash. As a
result, the user can lose control over he hedge cutter
and the user could cut himself in a dangerous or
mortal way.
These forces occur due to an improper use of the
machine and/or because of the incorrect interpretation
of the instruction manual and can be avoided by
following these simple instructions:
1. There should not be posts, cables or rocks near the
blades so as to avoid backlash and its dangers as well
as to avoid damage to the blades.
2. During use the hedge cutter should be held only by
he handles.
3. Never lose eye contact with the machine.
4. When using he hedge cutter, never have the
machine near your feet or above your shoulders.
