The term "Bed Rail Entrapment" describes an event in which a patient using the bed is caught, trapped, or entangled in the space in or about the bed
rail, mattress, or bed frame. Bed Rail Entrapment may result in serious injuries or death by the patient becoming entrapped as shown below:
