INSTALLATION AND SETUP
Before first use
When choosing a location for your fridge/freezer, make sure that the floor is
level and firm and that the room is well ventilated.
Avoid placing the fridge near a heat source such as a cooker, boiler or
radiator.
Avoid placing the fridge in an outbuilding or solarium where it will be exposed
to direct sunlight.
If you place your fridge in an outbuilding such as a garage or annexe, make
sure that the fridge is placed above the damp course, otherwise condensation
will form on the fridge cabinet.
The refrigerator gives off heat to the environment when it is in operation.
Therefore, there should be at least 30 mm of free space on the top, more than
100 mm on both sides and more than 50 mm on the back of the refrigerator.
Cleaning before use: Wipe the inside of the fridge with a weak solution of
bicarbonate of soda. Then rinse with warm water using a damp sponge or
cloth. Wash the baskets and shelves in warm soapy water and dry completely
before replacing in the fridge. The external parts of the fridge can be cleaned
with wax polish. Electric parts of the refrigerator can only be wiped by dry
cloth.
Check that you have a socket which is compatible with the plug supplied with
the fridge before plugging in.
Do not switch on until four hours after moving the fridge. The coolant
fluid needs time to settle. If the appliance is switched off at any time, wait
30 minutes before switching back on to allow the coolant fluid to settle.
Before storing foods in your fridge, turn the fridge on and wait for 24 hours,
to make sure it is working properly and to allow the fridge to fail to the correct
temperature.
