2. Use the two grips (13) to move height gauge HG1 to the required position.

POSITIONING THE ZERO POINT ON THE MEASURING PLATE
1. Tap "Set zero points (2.04)" on the menu bar.
2. If component zero points have already been set, tap the button for the current zero point on the menu bar.

The contact point moves to the measuring plate and adopts the position as the zero point.

The zero points that were set previously (01, 02, 03 and preset) are deleted.

1. Approach the surface to set this as the zero point.

4. On the function button bar, tap the button for the zero point to be set (4.02–4.04).

SETTING THE ZERO POINT OFFSET

With a zero point offset, the measuring range can be extended by adding the zero point offset to the position of the contact
point.
1. Tap "Set zero points (2.04)" on the menu bar.

3. Tap "Preset entry (4.05)" on the function button bar.

The input field "PR" and a numerical keypad will appear in the display area.

1. Tap the function button (8) to switch between the "Plane" and "Bore" measuring mode.
2. Press the function button (9) to start a measuring in positive direction (approaching from below).

The contact point approaches the measurement point and adopts the measured value.

2. To measure extreme points, move either the component or measuring device to enable the measurement to be con-
ducted. The initial approach is always made upwards.

1. Tap "Activate 2D mode (5.15)" on the function button bar.
