QUICK MODE
ü The measuring function is detected automatically based on the movement of the measurement slide.

1. Tap "Quick mode on/off (2.06)" on the menu bar.

2. To select the measuring mode, at the base of height gauge HG1, tap "Switch measuring mode (1.03)".

The selected measuring mode is displayed on the status bar: "Plane measuring mode (1.04)" for single-point meas-
urement, "Bore measuring mode (1.05)" for double-point measurement.
3. Align the contact point with the position to be approached.
4. Use the positioning handle to move the measurement slide to the position to be approached.

The measuring function starts automatically.

The measured value is shown in the display area.
5. To quit quick mode, tap "Cancel current action (2.11)" on the menu bar.

9.1.
REPLACING THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY

Use only original replacement parts and wearing parts.
Ensure that all of the works listed below are carried out by qualified specialist personnel:
ü Saved data is retained when the battery is replaced.
1. Switch off height gauge HG1 and disconnect it from the mains power.
2. Unscrew the two screws on the back of the control panel and remove the cover (13 f).
3. Disconnect the connecting cable from the battery (13 e).
4. Remove the battery.
5. Connect the connecting cable to the new battery (13 e).
6. Place the cover on the battery compartment (13 f).
7. Screw the cover on using the two screws (13 f).
8. Connect height gauge HG1 to the mains power.
9. Charge the battery for height gauge HG1 for at least 5 minutes.
10. Cleaning
Remove dirt using a soft, clean and dry cloth. After contact with liquids, dry mechanical parts well. Do not use chemical, al-
cohol-based, abrasive or solvent-based cleaners.
11. Storage
Store in an enclosed dry room.
Do not store in the vicinity of acidic, aggressive, chemical substances, solvents, humidity and dirt.

To conserve the battery, it is recommended that the storage temperature does not exceed 30 °C.
