SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
2.1
Intended use
The Triango 60 light is a small surgical light. It is a single light
in the patient environment for use in treatment rooms to
support diagnosis or treatment that does not pose a hazard
to the patient in the event of interruption due to a light failure.
It is intended for continuous operation and is not intended to
be combined with other medical devices.
The essential performance of Triango 60 is the delivery of
sufficient light to the operating field while limiting the delivery
of radiant energy to the operating field and its observer. This
is achieved by providing the capability to deliver central
illuminance of at least 40 klx, while ensuring the total
irradiance at the light field centre at the maximum illuminance
distance does not exceed 700 W/m2.

Safety instructions
Operation by a medical specialist
The manual is part of the product and must be kept and
made available to all subsequent users.
All work on the light (including repairs) may only be
carried out by a qualified electrician. Installation may only
be carried out by a qualified specialist.
The light must not be changed or manipulated. Only
approved original parts may be used. Use other than the
intended use with the original parts can lead to different
technical values and life-threatening dangers.
Do not exceed the maximum weight, or hang from, lean
on or step on it, as this may cause the device to tip over
and result in serious injury.
Operation in potentially explosive areas is prohibited.
The power supply to the light represents a potential
ignition source.
The light may only be operated in dry and dust-free
rooms.
The light must not be left switched on unattended.
Only connect the light to the mains supply with
a protective conductor to avoid electric shock.
28
In the case of lights of protection class I, the protective
conductor must be connected to the light housing.
A damaged light should not be used. Defective cables
and a defective handle also pose a potential hazard.
Do not place cables near heat sources or on sharp
edges.
Never place extra weight on the light head and the arm
system.
When in operation, the light must never be covered with
a cloth or similar.
The ventilation openings (if available) must always be
free during operation!
The light must not be operated in the vicinity of external
heatsources that exceed the maximum ambient-
temperature of the light.
The light must not be used outside the intended
environmental conditions.
Do not use together with medical devices that can react
sensitively to a light spectrum in the visible range
(e.g. pulsating light and/or light with high illuminance)
The light may only be used for the purpose mentioned
here.
The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for
damage caused as a result of use that deviates from the
intended
use
or
the
instructions and warnings.
When using several lights at the same time, the total
illumination E
in the light field must not exceed
Total
1000W/m² during operation.
Before connecting to the mains supply, the mains data
must be checked to ensure that it matches the device
data.
Triango 60 F
The light must be held securely during transport within
the hospital.
