Trouble shooting

Malfunctions often have simple explanations. Please
read the following notes before calling the after-sales
service.

Deep fried food is still raw on the inside. Wrong temperature and frying time.

Possible cause
The child lock has been activated.
Safety shut-off.
Faulty electronics.
Overheating protection: no or not
enough oil or fat in the frying basin.
Overheating protection: the appliance
has been set to a frying temperature,
although the frying fat is still cold and
has not been melted on the fat melting
setting.
The appliance has been switched on
with the heating element tilted up or
not fully down.
Overheating because the fat or oil is
too old.

If the symbol does not go off after
switching back on again although the
appliance has fully cooled, please call
your local Gaggenau customer service
agency.

Solution
Switch off the child lock.
Switch off the appliance. Then you can
operate it again normally.
Call your local Gaggenau after-sales ser-
vice.
Switch off the appliance and leave to cool
down fully. Fill with fat or oil at least up to
the minimum marker.
Switch off the appliance and leave to cool
down fully. Select the fat melting setting

to melt the frying fat.
Switch off the appliance and leave to cool
down fully. Tilt down the heating element.
Switch off the appliance and leave to cool
down fully. Change the fat or oil.
Reduce the temperature and extend the
frying time.
Use fresh fat or oil.
