When the position of all the valves is correct the plc starts off the filtration pump/s for the
beginning of "backwash" according to the time chosen for switch nº 2.
Once the mentioned time is over, ONLY 5-VALVE MANIFOLD turn to the "rinse" position. 4
VALVE MANIFOLD turn back to the "filtration" position.
"Rinse" after "backwash" is highly recommended in order to take the waste particles from
the collectors to the drain.
In commercial installations, it is always advisable to "rinse" before putting the manifold in
the "filtration" position.
The PLC shall stop the filtration pump/s, being then the valves' positions:
Valve nº 1 open (green led on).
•
Valve nº 2 closed (red led on).
•
Valve nº 3 closed (red led on).
•
Valve nº 4 closed (red led on).
•
Valve nº 5 open (green led on).
•
When the position of all the valves is correct, the plc starts off the filtration pump/s for
"rinse" according to the time chosen for switch nº 3..
When time is over, the plc will stop the pump/s again and the position will turn to the filtration
position as described before.
Should electrical feeding fail, valves nº 3-4 y 5* se will turn to the position "close" automatically.
