Paging
You can page the handset from the base unit. Note that you cannot page if the handset is in use.

You cannot page the handset when its RING switch is set to OFF.

Mounting the base unit on a wall

Raise the hang-up tab.

Plug the telephone line cord to the LINE jack and the AC power adaptor to the
DC IN 9V jack, and hook the cords. Use the shorter cord for mounting.

Attach the wall bracket to the center of the base unit. Align the f marks of the
wall bracket with those of the base unit.

Plug the telephone line cord to the telephone outlet, and hook the base unit to the
wall plate.

Plug the AC power adaptor to an AC outlet. Then raise the antenna so that it
points towards the ceiling.

Tip
To remove the wall bracket, press the lower tabs.
Maintenance
• Clean the cabinets with a soft cloth slightly moistened with water or a mild detergent
solution. Do not use any type of abrasive pad, scouring powder or solvent such as alcohol
or benzine as they may damage the finish of the cabinet.
• If the charge terminals of the base unit and handset are soiled, wipe them with a soft cloth.

Notes on power sources
On battery pack
• Store the battery pack at a temperature between 41°F (5°C) and 95°F (35°C) for best
performance.
• If you do not use the phone for a long period of time, remove the battery packs from the
handset after charging for more than 12 hours, and base unit after charging for more than 24
hours when you have a spare battery. Then unplug the AC power adaptor.
On power failure
• During a power interruption, you cannot make or receive calls.

Troubleshooting

Should any problem persist after you have made these checks, consult your nearest authorized
Sony dealer.
Symptom
You cannot make or receive calls.
You hear no dial tone.
The phone does not connect at all,
even the number you dial is correct.

Remedy
• Place the base unit away from noise sources.
• Move the handset closer to the base unit.
• Make sure you set up the base unit correctly.
