Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Dieses Gerät entspricht der Richtlinie für elektro-
magnetische Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG und der
Niederspannungsrichtlinie 73/23/EWG.

Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher Netz-
spannung (230 V~) versorgt. Nehmen Sie
deshalb niemals selbst Eingriffe im Gerät vor.
Durch unsachgemäßes Vorgehen besteht die
Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages. Außer-
dem erlischt beim Öffnen des Gerätes jeg-
licher Garantieanspruch.
Vorsicht! Im Betrieb liegt an den Laut-
sprecheranschlüssen berührungsgefährliche
Spannung an.
Alle Anschlüsse nur bei ausgeschaltetem
Gerät vornehmen bzw. verändern.
Beachten Sie für den Betrieb auch unbedingt die fol-
genden Punkte:
Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung in Innenräumen
geeignet.
Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit und Hitze
(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0-40 °C).
Die in dem Gerät entstehende Wärme muß durch
Luftzirkulation abgegeben werden. Darum dürfen
die Lüftungsschlitze des Gehäuses nicht mit ir-
gendwelchen Gegenständen abgedeckt werden.

open the cabinet. Leave servicing to author-
ized skilled personnel only. Furthermore, any
guarantee claim expires if the unit has been
opened.
Caution! A dangerous voltage is present at
the speaker connections during the operation.
All connections must only be performed resp.
changed if the unit is switched off.
For the operation also watch in any case the follow-
ing items:
The unit is suitable for indoor use only.
Protect the unit against humidity and heat (permis-
sible operating temperature range 0-40 °C).
The heat which is generated in the unit has to be
carried off via air circulation. Therefore, do not
cover the air vents of the housing with anything.
Do not insert or drop anything into the air vents!
This could result in electric shock.
Do not take the unit into operation and immediately
take the mains plug out of the mains socket if:
1. damage at the unit or mains cable can be seen,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or si-
milar accident,
3. there are malfunctions.
The unit must in any case be repaired by author-
ized skilled personnel.
Never pull the mains plug out of the mains socket
by means of the mains cable.
If the unit is used for purposes other than originally
intended, if it is connected or operated in the wrong
way or if it is not repaired by authorized skilled per-
sonnel, no liability can be taken over for possible
damage.
Only use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning, by no means
chemicals or water.

Nichts durch die Lüftungsschlitze stecken oder fal-
len lassen! Dabei kann es zu einem elektrischen
Schlag kommen.
Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen, und sofort den
Netzstecker ziehen, wenn:
1. sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder an der Netz-
anschlußleitung vorhanden sind,
2. nach einem Sturz oder ähnlichem der Verdacht
auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Das Gerät in jedem Fall zur Reparatur in eine
Fachwerkstatt geben.
Den Netzstecker nie an der Zuleitung aus der
Steckdose ziehen.
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, nicht richtig an-
geschlossen, falsch bedient oder nicht fachgerecht
repariert, kann für eventuelle Schäden keine Haf-
tung übernommen werden.
Für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes, weiches Tuch
verwenden, auf keinen Fall Wasser oder Chemika-
lien.
Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb genom-
men werden, übergeben Sie es zur Entsorgung
einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.

Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Der Power Mixer PMX-600 ist speziell für Musiker
und den Einsatz auf der Bühne bzw. im Studio aus-
gelegt. Das Gerät ist die Kombination eines 10-
Kanal-Mischpultes mit einer nachfolgenden 600-W-
Endstufe. Entsprechende Anschlüsse am Gerät
ermöglichen es jedoch auch, das Mischpult-Modul
und das Verstärkermodul separat zu nutzen.
Die 10 Eingangskanäle des Mischpults - 8 Mono-
Kanäle, 2 Stereo-Kanäle - lassen sich auf einen
Stereo-Summenkanal und zwei Aux-Ausspielwege
mischen. Zwei regelbare Return-Eingänge ermögli-
chen das Rückmischen der ausgekoppelten Signale
auf die Signalsumme. Jeder Eingangskanal kann
über die Vorhörfunktion PFL mit einem Kopfhörer ab-
gehört werden. Mit dem 7-Band-Graphic-Equalizer
läßt sich die Musikanlage optimal an die jeweilige

cordance with the following code:
green / yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be connected to the terminal in the plug
which is marked with the letter E or by the earth
symbol
, or coloured green or green and
yellow.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.

Applications
The power mixer PMX-600 is especially designed for
the musician and stage applications resp. studio ap-
plications. The unit is a combination of a 10-channel
mixer with a following 600 W power amplifier. Due to
the corresponding connections at the unit, the mixer
module and the amplifier module can also be used
separately.
The 10 input channels of the mixer - 8 mono
channels, 2 stereo channels - can be mixed to one
stereo master channel and two Aux sends. Via two
adjustable return inputs, the signals taken off can be
fed back to the signal master. Each input channel can
be monitored by the PFL monitoring function via
headphones. The music system can be matched op-
timally to the corresponding room acoustics via the 7-
band graphic equalizer. Additionally, the unit has an
Raumakustik anpassen. Zusätzlich verfügt das Gerät
über eine integrierte Effekt-Einheit mit digitalem Si-
gnalprozessor (DSP), mit der vielfältige Effektein-
stellungen (z. B. Hall, Echo, Chorus, Pitch Shift) mög-
lich sind.

Aufstellung
Das Gerät läßt sich sowohl als frei aufgestelltes Tisch-
gerät verwenden als auch in ein Rack (482 mm/19")
einbauen. Für die Rackmontage werden 10 Höhen-
einheiten (1 Höheneinheit = 44,45 mm) benötigt. In
jedem Fall muß Luft ungehindert durch alle Lüftungs-
schlitze strömen können, damit eine ausreichende
Kühlung der Endstufe gewährleistet ist.
4.1 Rackeinbau
Das Gerät wird als frei aufstellbares Tischgerät gelie-
fert. Zum Einbau in ein Rack müssen die beiliegen-
den Rackhalterungen montiert werden.
Beim Einbau des PMX-600 in ein Rack muß dar-
auf geachtet werden, daß das Rack nicht zu kopfla-
stig und damit instabil wird. Ein mechanisch sicherer
und stabiler Rackaufbau muß gewährleistet sein.
1) Die beiden Seitenprofile und das Profil an der Un-
terkante des Mischpultes abschrauben.
2) Die beiden Rackhalterungen mit jeweils vier Ge-
windeschrauben (beiliegend) an beiden Seiten
des Gerätes befestigen.
3) Das Gerät mit den mitgelieferten Montageschrau-
ben am Rack befestigen.

Gerät anschließen
Wichtig: Alle Anschlüsse dürfen nur bei ausgeschal-
tetem Gerät hergestellt werden!
Für die Anschlußbelegungen der Stecker und Buch-
sen siehe entsprechenden Aufdruck auf dem Gerät.
5.1 Anschlüsse auf der Vorderseite
1) Die Tonquellen an die entsprechenden Buchsen
der Eingangskanäle anschließen:

Installation
The unit can be used as a table top unit or it can be
installed into a rack (482 mm/19"). For the rack in-
stallation 10 rack spaces (1 rack space = 44.5 mm)
are required. In any case air has to move freely
through all air vents so that a sufficient cooling of the
power amplifier is ensured.
4.1 Rack installation
The unit is delivered as a table top unit. For the rack
installation the supplied rack brackets must be
mounted.
When installing the PMX-600 into a rack, pay at-
tention that the rack does not become top-loaded
and thus unstable. A mechanically secure and stable
rack installation must be ensured.
1) Unscrew both side profiles and the profile at the
bottom of the mixer.
2) Mount both rack brackets with four screws each
(supplied) to both sides of the unit.
3) Fix the unit to the rack via the supplied rack mount-
ing screws.

Connecting the Unit
Important: All connections must only be performed
with switched-off unit!
For the pin connection of the plugs and jacks see the
corresponding printing on the unit.
5.1 Connections on the front panel
1) Connect the signal sources to the corresponding
jacks of the input channels.
Mono channels 1–8:
- Microphones to the MIC jacks (1);
- Units with line level (e. g. music instrument,
tape deck) to the LINE jacks (2).
