4.2 Accessories (optional)
The Kimba Cross mobility base is designed as a modular assembly system, which means that
certain accessories may be adapted to it. The following options and accessories may make it
easier to use your Kimba Cross mobility base (Fig. 18).

4.2.1 Swivelling Front Wheel

The optional swivelling front wheel reduces the turning radius of your Kimba Cross, making it
easier to use in tight spaces (Fig. 22). First, remove the rigid-mount front wheel and the mounted
splash guard in the reverse order as described under "Unpacking and Setting Up".
Next, insert the swivelling front wheel into the fork as shown in Fig. 20 and push it to the rear
and up. Make sure that the attachment plate engages with the slot of the crossbrace. Close the
eccentric lever of the clamp axle (Fig. 21).
It is very important that you check for the proper fit and clamping pressure of the axle.

4.2.2 Splash Guard for Rear Wheels / Clothing Protectors

To mount these snap-on wheel covers, take off the rear wheels by first removing the quick-release
axles (press the central bolts to release the locks and pull the axles out). Pull the rear wheels off
the axle housings. Screw the attachment elements for the splash guards to the holes provided
for this purpose (Fig. 23, item B). Snap the splash guard into the receiving holes (Fig. 24). Finally
reinsert and lock the rear wheels (Fig. 25).

4.2.3 Anti-tipper

The anti-tipper prevents the mobility base from tipping too far backward.
Loosen the screw of the right rear axle and remove the nut and lock washers. Put the anti-tipper
on the rear axle while making sure that the fork of the anti-tipper engages with the crossbrace
(Fig. 26).
Remount the lock washers and nut and re-tighten the nut.
INfORMATION
You can bring the anti-tipper from active position (Fig. 27) to passive position (Fig. 28) and vice
versa by pressing downwards and then rotating the anti-tipper arm. In both positions the anti-
tipper will lock in place.

4.2.4 Storage Bag

Snap fasteners are used to attach the storage bag below the seat: The side of the storage bag
with 3 snap fasteners is attached to the rear crossbrace; the side with 2 snap fasteners is at-
tached to the right and left of the base frame.

4.2.5 Spoke Protectors

The spoke protectors are attached to the spokes with mounting elements.
