Verifying Pump Operation

1. Turn ON the Sirius Multigas Detector.
• The pump motor starts fast and then slows down as the
instrument adjusts the power to run the pump.
2. Once gas readings are displayed, plug the free end of the
sampling line or probe.
• The pump motor shuts down and an alarm sounds
(FIGURE 3-4)
• PUMP ALARM will flash on the display
• The readings on the display may change.
