load to the brush. The wire bristles can easily
penetrate light clothing and/or skin.
b) If the use of a guard is recommended for wire
brushing, do not allow any interference of the
wire wheel or brush with the guard. Wire wheel
or brush may expand in diameter due to work load
and centrifugal forces.

Know your product

Before using the power tool, familiarize yourself with all

Operation

This power tool is supplied from single-phase alternat-
ing current mains only. It is double insulated according
to EN 60745-1 and IEC 60745 and can be connected
to grounded or not grounded sockets. This power tool
is radio suppressed in compliance with EMC Directive
2004/108/EC.
This power tool is designed for grinding, cutting, drilling,
routing, engraving, cleaning burrs and welds, polishing
and cleaning metal, plastic and wood.
PRIOR TO INITIAL OPERATION
▪ Make sure the power supply voltage corresponds to
the value indicated on the name plate with technical
data of the tool.
▪ Always check the position of ON/OFF switch. The
power tool must be connected to the power supply
socket only when this switch is in OFF position. If the
plug is connected to a receptacle while the power
switch is in the ON position, the power tool will start
operating immediately, which could cause a serious
accident.
▪ Make sure that the cord and the plug are in order. If the
replacement of the supply cord is necessary, this has
to be done by the manufacturer or his agent in order
to avoid a safety hazard.
WARNING: Always switch off and unplug the
power tool prior to any adjustment, servicing or main-
tenance or in case of mains drop-out.
Original instructions
REPLACING THE OPERATING TOOL (FIG. 2)
WARNING: Always switch off and unplug the
machine before replacing the operating tool.
The operating tools for this machine have various shank
diameters. The kit includes 4 sizes collets for attaching
tools with various shank diameters.
NOTE: Check if the shank of the operating tool you in-
tend to use fits the mounted collet. Never use an operat-
ing tool which does not fit the mounted collet, this could
be very dangerous.
If an operating tool with a different shank diameter is nec-
essary, insert a collet with the corresponding diameter.
1. Press spindle lock button (4) and rotate the spindle
by hand until the interlock is engaged.
2. Release the collet nut (3). Use spanner (10) if neces-
sary.
3. Insert the operating tool so that its shank enters the
collet to the end.
4. Tighten collet nut (3) firmly while pressing and hold-
ing the spindle lock button.
WARNING: Before starting work, make sure
that the operation tool is securely attached.
MOUNTING THE FLEXIBLE EXTENSION
SHAFT (FIG. 3)
The flexible extension shaft is used for very fine process-
ing or for operation in hard to access areas.
1. Unscrew cover (5).
2. Unscrew collet nut (3).
3. Insert inner shaft (a) of the flexible extension shaft
into the collet.
4. Tighten the collet nut (3).
5. Tighten ring (b) of the flexible extension shaft to the
power tool.
ASSEMBLING THE OPERATING TOOL TO THE
FLEXIBLE EXTENSION SHAFT (FIG.4)
1. Insert locking pin (11) into the opening (a) of the
flexible extension shaft. Turn the flexible extension
shaft until the pin latches in place.
2. Unscrew collet nut (b).
3. Insert the operating tool so that its shaft enters into
the collet to the end.
4. Tighten the collet but (b).
USING THE TELESCOPIC STAND (FIG. 5)
Mount the telescopic stand (8) to a bench with clamp (9).
The height of the stand can be adjusted by rotating and
pulling / folding its tubular elements.
Using hook (6) you can attach the machine to the stand.
SWITCHING ON - SWITCHING OFF
Switching on: Press ON/OFF switch (1) in position "I".
Switching off: Press ON/OFF switch (1) in position "O".
