Front
1 Release button (32, 33, 34)
Press to take a picture shown on the display and record
in the memory of the camera.
2 Self-timer lamp (33)
When the release button is pressed in self-timer
shooting, the lamp is lit for about seven seconds, then
flashes for about three seconds.
3 Lens (f = 16 mm, f-1.4) (22)
Fixed focus (1.5 m), semiauto iris (the iris is stopped
down to the set value only when the shutter is pressed).
The iris setting can be observed through the window at
the top of the lens.
Inside the cover, the following connections are made:
RELEASE IN jack: The cord from the camera grip is
connected here for iris control.
RELEASE OUT cord: The cord is connected to the
RELEASE jack of the camera for shutter
operation.
DC 8.4 V IN jack: The cord from the camera grip is
connected for iris control. To operate the camera
on AC power, connect the supplied AC power
adaptor/charger via the supplied cable.

Notes
• As the supplied lens is fixed-focus, the subject is in
focus only within the specific range.
• To broaden the range within which a subject can be
in focus, it is recommended to stop down the iris.
4 Tripod screw hole (20)
Used to attach the grip to the tripod. A quick shoe can
be also attached.
5 Flange-back adjustment screw
Flange-back should be adjusted when the supplied lens
is replaced with a new one.
6 Battery compartment lid (19)
Insert a NP-F550 lithium ion battery (supplied with the
model for the U.S.A. and Canada, optional with
European models), and close the lid.
DC 8.4 V IN jack of the camera to operate the
camera.
