1 Connector block (inside the cable cover)
NTSC MON (monitor) jack: If an NTSC video
monitor is connected using an optional video cable,
you can view a picture displayed on the LCD on
the monitor's screen.
Note
The output signal is an NTSC signal. You cannot
view a picture on a PAL system video monitor.
RELEASE jack: The cord from the lens is connected
here. The signal for shutter operation from the
camera grip is supplied here via the lens.
DC8.4V IN jack (20): The DC power is connected
through the supplied lens.
RS-232C jack (30): To use the camera far from the
station, connect to the CAMERA jack of the
station using the optional RK-G136 connecting
cable and the supplied PC-262S plug adaptor.
2 FLASH jack
Connect a cord from a strobe.
3 Record lamp (green)
Lit: The PLAY/CAMERA/OFF switch is set to
PLAY or CAMERA.
Flashing quickly: The remaining number of shots
that can be stored in the camera's memory is 0.
Flashing slowly: The picture taken is being stored in
memory.

4 PLAY/CAMERA/OFF switch (32, 33, 35, 36, 37,
38)
PLAY: To see pictures stored in the camera's
memory. With this position, the mode button can
be operated.
CAMERA: To take pictures. The green record lamp
lights up.
OFF: Not to use the camera. The power is turned off.
5 Strobe shoe (34)
Attach a strobe. When the cord of a strobe is
connected to the FLASH jack, the strobe will light
synchronized with shutter operation.
6 Metal contacts
For connection with the station. Always keep them
clean. If they become dirty, clean them with a cotton
swab, etc.
7 DISPLAY switch (32, 33, 35, 37, 38)
For turning he LCD ON and OFF.
8 Liquid crystal display (LCD)
A picture appears when the DISPLAY switch is set to
ON and the PLAY/CAMERA/OFF switch is set to
PLAY or CAMERA. When the PLAY/CAMERA/
OFF switch is set to PLAY, a picture stored in memory
appears, and when the switch is set to CAMERA, the
subject picked up by the lens appears.
