Color guide function

When adjusting the tone (GAMMA)
When selecting
To make half-tone areas bright
To make a printout of a normal image.
To make half-tone areas dark
With the color guide function, you can print a total of seven images with
different printout qualities on one sheet. The image with the current menu
settings is at the center, and surrounding it are six images, each with one
setting value changed from the current settings.
Two types of guides, one for hue adjustment and another for light-intensity
adjustment, are provided, and they can be used as guides for printout
quality adjustment.
Notes
• The color guide is available only when COL (color) is selected with the
B/W/COLOR button on the station.
• The color guide does not deal with the SHARPNESS adjustment.
The color guide may be used as follows:
Compare the seven images of the color-guide printout and search for an
image closest to the one you wish. If you are satisfied with one of the
images, set the values indicated below it with the menu operation.
If you are not satisfied with any of the seven images of the printout,
estimate and set values that might be the settings of the image you wish,
referring to the values of the image closest to the one you wish, and print a
new color guide. On the new color guide, the image with the new setting
values is at the center, along with six images with alternate values
surrounding it. In this way you can search for the results you wish.
Thus, the color guide enables you to get the image you wish quickly, and
saves ink ribbons and paper.
