4 Operation

4.1 Electrical connections

WMC weigh modules have a standard RS232C interface for the communication with the control systems.
Additionally, a second optional interface can be added, which can be either a second RS232C interface or
an Ethernet TCP/IP interface.

Use a stable power supply with no voltage fluctuations.

The power supply must be approved by the respective national test center of the country in which the

weigh module will be used.
Always operate the weigh module with the standard AC adapter delivered in the scope of delivery. The AC
adapter is suitable for use only with the following input characteristics:
100 – 240 V AC, -15%/+10%, 50/60 Hz, 0.5A
Note
Check whether your local power supply falls within this range. If it does not, DO NOT connect the electronic
unit or the AC adapter to your power supply and contact your local METTLER TOLEDO office.
If you use an alternative AC adapter other than the one in the standard scope of delivery, make sure that it is
a tested AC adapter with SELV output current and ensure correct polarity.

4.2 Environmental conditions

WMC weigh modules can be operated within the following environmental conditions:
