LIFESPAN – WEAR – REQUIRED INSPECTION
The lifespan of LOOK components depends on a number of factors, such as the the weights
of the cyclist and the cycling conditions. Impacts, falls, and inappropriate use or rough use in
general may compromise the structural integrity of components and considerably reduce their
life expectancy.
Some components may as well be subject to wear over time. Have your bicycle inspected
regularly by a qualified mechanic in order to verify the absence of cracks, deformations, signs
of fatigue or wear. If the inspection reveals deformations, cracks, signs of impact or other signs
of wear, even if light, immediately replace the concerned component. Components having been
subject to excessive wear must also be immediately replaced. The frequency of inspection
depends on a number of factors; consult your authorized LOOK distributor to find the best
option for you.
TO BE READ BEFORE USE !
Cycling is an inherently dangerous activity. To reduce the risk of serious injury, adequately
maintain your bicycle, and install and adjust your components correctly. During your practice
of cycling, always wear a helmet and make note of the traffic code and respect it. Beware of
dangers of the road and circulation. Take note of laws in the country where you are. If you
ride at night, it is not enough to see but also to be seen. Reflectors are not sufficient and do
not replace a front and rear light. Wearing light reflective clothing is strongly suggested and
mandatory in some countries.
