9.3.2. Versions S and S+

1. Uninstall the polycarbonate guard.
2. Pass a cable through each packing gland and guide it to the corresponding terminal. If the cable used has
a diameter of between 7 and 11.5 mm, use the reducer that comes with the packing gland. If the cable
has a diameter of between 11.5 and 17 mm, discard this reducer.
3. Make the connection with a screw terminal marked with the polarity and numbering of the PV array. These
terminals are marked as XPV1+ y XPV1- on TL units and as XPV1+, XPV1-, XPV2+ y XPV2- on TL M units.
It is important to remember that not all models of the unit have the same rated current for each input.
TL units
4. To make the connection, strip a 18 mm section of a wire on TL M units or 24 mm on TL units. Using a
tubular terminal is optional.
5. Screw in the terminal with a torque of 5 Nm.
6. Secure the packing glands without pulling on the cables.
7. Reinstall the polycarbonate guard.
8. The DC cables must remain without voltage while the unit door is open.
On units with a DC switch (version S+), when powering the PV array, follow these steps:
9. Only connect string 1 in the external string box of the MPPT1.
10. Turn the DC switch to ON.
