State of abnormality
Engine stops soon.
Engine speed does not
increase.
Throttle does not return to
idling speed.
Engine does not stop.
Run engine at idling,
and set choke lever to
"CLOSE".
Probable cause
(malfunction)
Insufficient warm-up.
Choke lever is set to
"CLOSE" although engine is
warmed up.
Clogged fuel filter.
Contaminated or clogged air
cleaner.
Detached control cable.
Engine internal parts
problem.
Inproper throttle valve
position.
Detached connector.
Abnormal electric system.

Remedy
Perform warm-up operation.
Set to "OPEN".
Clean the fuel filter.
Clean the air filter.
Attach the control cable securely.
Ask our authorized service center to
inspect and repair it.
Reposition the control cable.
Adjust the throttle valve position by
turning the cable adjusting bolt.
Attach the connector securely.
Ask our authorized service center to
inspect and repair it.
