SNOW CHAINS

Dear customer!
You have purchased a set of snow chains, which has
been designed for the Skoda Octavia, Skoda Superb ve-
hicle. When using these snow chains, your journeys on
snow-covered roads will be much safer. Prior to fitting the
chains, please read this manual carefully and fit the
chains according the instructions. Do not fit the snow
chains, if you have not understood the manual. If you are
unclear on anything, please contact an authorised Skoda
Auto outlet.
Fitting the snow chains
Remove the snow chains from the carry case and lay
them out in front of the wheel. Protective gloves are part
of the package. Now proceed according to the fitting
instructions and the pictorial diagrams.

- lay the straightened and flattened-out chain in front of
the wheel. Then place it around the wheel so that the ball
clip (A) is lying at the front.

- close the ball clip (A) on the steel rope in the upper sec-
tion of the tyre -detail-.
- 3 -
- clip the blue rotating part (B) onto the grey end hook (C)
and ensure that there are at least 3 - 5 links between the
blue rotating part (B) and the blue ratchet (D).

- place the steel rope (E) behind the tyre and ensure that
the rope and the ball clip (F) do not lie on the tyre tread -
detail-.
- straighten the chain net -arrow-.

- clip the orange rotating part (G) onto the grey end hook
(H).

- tighten the orange tightening chain of the orange ratchet
(I) and clip it onto the first orange plastic hook (J).
