• DOLBY SURROUND
Should be selected when listening
to multichannel surround audio
when the unit's analog AUDIO OUT
terminals are connected to a
surround decoder.
• STEREO
Should be selected when listening
to conventional two-channel stereo
audio when the unit's analog
AUDIO OUT terminals are
connected to a stereo amplifier/
receiver or television set, or when
you want to record the audio from
a DVD VIDEO disc to MiniDisc,
cassette, etc.
• AUTO
Audio is played back with the
dynamic range compressed
except when playing a disc
recorded with Dolby Digital 1- or 2-
channel format.
• ON
Audio is always played back with
the dynamic range compressed.

• This function does not work when
