REPLACING AND ADJUSTING THE LIMIT SWITCH UNIT
TUBOMATIC H46
To replace and adjust the limit switch unit with a vernier, follow these instructions:
1. Remove the cover (item A in Figure 4) at the bottom of the machine by loosening the
6 M5 screws (item B in Figure 4).
2. Loosen the M20 nut (item C in Figure).
3. Remove the limit switch unit that needs replacing.
4. Before inserting the new limit switch unit make sure the knob of the vernier is
completely loosened so that the 0 on the body is aligned with the 0 on the knob.
5. If, with the vernier unscrewed, the 0 on the knob is not aligned, loosen the dowel on
the knob and turn it to the position that corresponds to the desired adjustment (item G
in Figure 5).
6. Insert the new limit switch unit (check that the vernier numbers are visible) fastening
it on the frame by means of the M20 nut (item C in Figure 4).
7. To adjust the sensor, insert a hose (preferably a full or very thick hose) into the
machine, verifying that the external diameter coincides with the die nominal diameter
(i.e. for dies with a diameter of 12, use a hose with an external diameter of 12 mm).
8. Close the dies as far as the hose external diameter, blocking it in place by applying a
slight pressure.
9. If the hose is blocked and the limit switch LED switches on, verify that the pressure of
the sensor actuator (item F in Figure 4) corresponds to the minimum value.
10. Lock the spacer (item E in Figure 4) in place using the nut (item D in Figure 4).
11. If, at the end of the operations described in point 7, the limit switch LED is off, loosen
the nut (item D in Figure 4) and turn the spacer (item E in Figure 4) to a point in
which the LED can be switched on with a minimum pressure on the actuator, then
tighten the nut (item D in Figure 4).
12. Reassemble the cover (item A in Figure 4) and fasten it with the 6 M5 screws (item B
in Figure 4).
