Notice!
Improper assembly can lead to
damage to the automatic gun.
→ Arrest automatic gun on a level
surface before performing main-
tenance work.
→ Ensure that threads are seated
properly.
→ Lubricate all moving parts
with SATA gun grease (Art. No.
48173).
Loose screws can lead to part dam-
age or malfunction.
→ Tighten all screws by hand and
check for tightness.
Use of the wrong tools can lead to
damage to the automatic gun.
→ Use only special tools supplied
by SATA.
Springs and small parts can fall
out during disassembly. The exact
installation position and installation
sequence is shown in the illustra-
tions. Failure to observe can lead
to damage to the components or to
malfunction.
Replacement parts are available for
repair (see Chap. 13).
10.1. Replace nozzle set
The nozzle set consists of a tested
combination of paint needle
air nozzle
[7-5]
. Always replace the complete
[7-4]
nozzle set.
Disassemble nozzle set
■ Unscrew and remove regulator
420
[7-3]
and paint nozzle
cap (for variants with material flow
control).
■ Unscrew and remove end cap
(wrench opening of 27) [7-1] (for
variants with material flow control,
wrench opening is 24).
■ Remove spring [7-2].
■ Remove paint needle [7-3].
■ Unscrew air nozzle ring [7-6] by hand
and remove together with air nozzle
[7-5].
■ Unscrew paint nozzle [7-4] using
SATA universal wrench.
Install new nozzle set
Notice!
The components can be dam-
aged if installed in the wrong
sequence.
→ Always install paint nozzle
before installing paint needle.
Information!
The SATAminijet version has a
small grooved pin for aligning the
air nozzle.
■ Screw in paint nozzle [7-4] using
SATA universal wrench.
■ Install air nozzle ring [7-6] together
with air nozzle [7-5] and screw on by
hand. Pay attention to desired nozzle
position and alignment of notches in
,
air nozzle in relation to grooved pin
[8-1] (not on SATAminijet).
■ Install paint needle [7-3].
■ Install spring [7-2].
■ Screw on end cap [7-1].
■ Screw on regulator cap (for variants
with material flow control).
