Operations Common to Each Mode

display, or turn the [ROTARY] knob to select
"ON" or "OFF".

Setting the beep for when
buttons are operated (BEEP)
The short or long high-pitched tone you hear
when a button is operated is called a "BEEP".
• The factory default setting is "ON".
1. Press the [A] button to set to the adjust
mode.

on the setting item display to
select "BEEP" under "APPERNCE".

Selecting each mode
This item cannot be selected when the Dolby
Pro Logic II is set to "MUSIC" or "MATRIX" (cf.
page 17).
• The factory default setting is "PRO" for AC-
PRO III and "P.EQ" for EQ SELECT.
AC-PROIII
When "STD" (standard mode) is selected, the
sound quality and field can be adjusted by VSE
(Virtual Space Enhancer) so that the same
audio effect can be obtained whichever seat you
are sitting in.
When "PRO" (PRO mode) is selected, the
sound quality and field can be adjusted in detail
for each seating position.

EQ SELECT
When "P.EQ" (equalizer mode) is selected, the
entire frequency level range can be
compensated by a detailed smooth curve.
When "BAS / TREB" (bass / treble mode) is
selected, the frequency level can be
compensated by dividing it into 2 major levels,
bass (low tones) and treble (high tones).
1. Press the [A] button to set to the adjust
mode.
2. Touch
on the setting item display to
select "AC-PRO III" under "SOUND" and
"EQ SELECT" under "SOUND".

Set to match the speaker configuration of your
car to fully bring out the audio characteristics of
this unit.

• Sound is not output from the centre speaker
unless the following settings are made when
"CTR+SW" is set.

Logic II mode to "MUSIC" or "MATRIX".
(2) Referring to "Setting speakers ON/OFF
(CENTER-SP/SUB-WOOFER)" (cf. page 45),
set the centre speaker to "ON".

Setting speakers ON/OFF
(CENTER-SP/SUB-WOOFER)
Set the centre speaker (CENTER-SP) and sub-
woofer (SUB-WOOFER) ON/OFF.
Be sure to set this setting to "OFF" when there
is no centre speaker or sub-woofer.
• The centre speaker (CENTER-SP) can be set
when the Dolby Pro Logic II mode is set to
"MUSIC" or "MATRIX", and "SP-SETTING" is
set to "CTR-SW".
• The factory default setting is "ON".

Adjusting the filter
frequencies of speakers
(HPF/SUB-W LPF)
This function allows you to adjust the filter
frequency matched to the speakers you are
using.
• The filters (HPF/SUB-W LPF) that you can
use differ according to the Dolby Pro Logic II
mode setting.

This filter cuts bass sound from the front and
rear speakers.
