N – Connector:
Connect the cooling unit.
O – Socket:
Connect the cooling unit.
P – Connector
Connect the connector of the power source/wire feeder
connection service cable
Q - Socket:
In MIG welding, connect the patch connector of the power
source/wire feeder connection power cable (pole +).
R – Fuse holder: T – 2A.
3.2.1. DESCRIPTION OF THE WIRE FEEDER (see pict. 2
page 5)
A – Control panel
B - Connector: For connecting the remote controls.
A clean contact is available between pins 4 and 5 that closes
when the arc is lit (Arc On).
Between pins 1 and 9 it is possible to command the welding
start and stop.
C - Central adapter: Connect the MIG or TIG welding torch.
D - Quick-fitting sockets: Connect any hoses leaving a water-
cooled torch. NOTE: Match the hose and socket colours
correctly.
G - Connector: Connect the connector of the power source/wire
feeder connection extension cable.
H - Socket: Connect the patch connector of the power
source/wire feeder connection power cable.
J - Gas hose fitting: Connect the gas hose of the power
source/wire feeder connection.
K - Quick-fitting sockets: Connect the red and blue tubes of
the wire feeder/ power source connection. NOTE: Match the
hose and socket colours correctly.
I – Wire reel cover.
3.2.2. DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTROL PANEL (see pict. 3
page 6)
The control panel consists of two control areas X and Z and a
settings area Y.
3.2.2.1 CONTROL PANEL (Pict. 3 areas X, Z)
Selection key S4 - Every pressure of the key selects the
size, adjust- able via the V6 knob. Available sizes, displayed by
leds S1, S2, S3, relate to the selected welding process.
Led S1 Thickness - It indicates that the display V5
shows the thickness in mm of the work piece based on the
current and wire speed set. Active in synergic MIG/MAG welding
processes.
Led S2 Wire speed - It indicates that the display V5
shows the welding wire speed in metres per minute. Active in all
MIG/MAG welding processes
Led S3 Welding current - It indicates that the display
V5 shows the welding cur- rent in ampere.
Knob V6 - The values selected through the key S4 are
adjust- ed according to the process type selected through this
knob.
Display V5 - Shows the value of sizes selected by means of key
S4 and adjusted by means of knob V6.
Selection key S8 - Every brief pressure of the key
selects the size, adjustable via the T3 knob. The sizes that can
be selected, displayed by LEDs S9, T1, T2, are related to the
selected welding process.
Led S9 Welding voltage - It indicates that the value
shown on display T4 is a value expressed in volts.
With arc off, in MIG/MAG welding processes, the value shown
on display T4 is a pre-set value or the "set point" (see paragraph
4.1. MIG/MAG welding).
During the welding process, the value shown on display T4 is
always the voltage measured by the power source.
Led T1 Arc length - In synergic MIG/MAG welding
processes (MIG HD excepted), it indicates that display T4 shows
the value of the length of welding arc correction.
The 0 (zero) value corresponds to the manufacturer preset arc
length.
By means of knob T3 it is possible to increase the arc (positive
values) or reduce it (negative values) in a -9.9 ÷ +9.9. range
Led T2 Impedance - In MIG/MAG welding processes, it
indicates that dis- play T4 shows the impedance value.
The 0 (zero) value corresponds to the manufacturer preset
impedance.
By means of knob T3 it is possible to increase (positive values)
or reduce (negative values) it in a -9.9 ÷ +9.9 range.
Knob T3 - The values selected through key S8 are
adjusted according to the process type selected by means of
this knob
In synergic MIG/MAG welding processes, when led S9 is on
(welding voltage), via this knob the selection switches
automatically to led T1 (arc length).
Display T4
In all welding processes, it numerically displays the selec- tions
made via the selection key S8 and adjusted via the knob T3.
Led S5 Globular position - In MIG/MAG synergic
processes, this signals that the pair of current and voltage
values chosen for welding may give unstable arcs and splatters.
Led S6 Hold - It lights automatically at the end of the
welding process to indicate that displays V5 and T4 show the
two most recent current and voltage measured values.
Led S7 Safety - Signals the lock function for some keys.
The operator may adjust only the welding parameters included
in the control panel. To activate the function, press the U9 key
first then, while holding it down, briely press the S8 key.
The led S7 lights to indicate that the function is active. To exit,
press similarly keys U9 and S8.
Key T9 Wire test - It allows the progressive wire feed up
to 8m/min with no voltage present in the torch and no gas low.
