patients needs, attach the provided tabs
to both ends of the strap and secure it to
the outside of the legging.
Step 12:
If no reduction kit knee component or
upper leg component are being worn
instruct the patient to roll the top part
of the undersleeve over the top edge of
the lower leg component. The bottom
part of the undersleeve may also be
rolled over the bottom edge of the lower
leg component if desired.
Step 13:
Apply the appropriate foot compression
as needed. If using the circaid
compression anklet, circaid pac band,
circaid single band ankle foot wrap, or
any other circaid or medi product, please
refer to the specific product instructions
included in its packaging.
Reminders for the patient:
• The lower leg component should feel
firm and comfortable.
• The patient may readjust the bands as
necessary throughout the day.
• If using the built-in-tension system,
each set of vertical guidelines may be
at a different location on the leg
depending on the size and shape of the
leg. They do not need to be aligned
down the front center of the leg or in
any other specific location on the leg.
• For improved comfort, the patient may
slightly loosen the bands of the lower
leg component for nighttime wear.
• When bands are placed in parallel they
should slightly overlap, leaving no
space between bands.
• The lower leg component should never
hurt. If the patient experiences any
pain, the lower leg component should
be immediately removed and the
patient should consult a physician.
Removal of the circaid reduction kit
lower leg component:
Instruct the patient to detach all bands
starting at the top band. Fold each band
back onto itself to keep the hook
material lint free. It is important that
none of the spine tabs be removed.
Lastly, slide the undersleeve off the leg.
