4.11 Using the hand brakes

WARNING!
An incorrect adjustment of the handle height can
suspend the brake function.
– After any adjustment of the handle height and
before using the rollator, you must always
check the brake function.
– Adjust the handle height correctly, if needed.
With the hand brakes, the user can precisely control the
brake effect on the rear wheels by pulling the brake handle
more or less firmly.
1.
1. Apply the brakes by pulling both brake handles slowly
and steady upwards.
2. To apply the parking brakes, press the brake handles
carefully downwards.
A distinct click indicates that the brake is in the correct
position, so that the wheels are locked.
It is important that both brakes are put into
parking position.
3. To release the parking brake pull the brake handle
upwards.

4.12 Adjusting the brake effect

1. If braking effect is poor adjust the brake cable.
Suitable tools to use are fixed spanners, 8 mm for
adjustment and 10 mm for the locking nut (not
included).
2. Make sure to tighten the lock nuts after adjustment.

4.13 Using the kerb climber

Use the kerb climber to make it easier to mount pavements
etc.
