4. INSTALLATION

a. Install and connect the bases
Position / range:
Before installing the base station, consider the following tips:
- The range can be greatly reduced for technical reasons: concrete, metal, double glazing, etc.. may,
indeed, affect the range of TELIA.
Choosing a good location for the base station can greatly increase signal reception (e.g.: place the base station near
a window to get good reception in the garden).
- The mobile handset has a maximum open air range of 400 m. When the handset is out of range,
disappears from the screen (= out of range).

b. Base and charging station power (Fig. 5f)
Read the safety instructions.
- Place the stations on a flat, stable surface
- Connect the stations to their respective power supplies
- Insert the handset in the charging station (so that the keys are facing you). As soon as the mobile handset is cor-
rectly inserted into the charging station, the battery symbol

CAUTION : To minimise the risk of interference, do not place the base station near appliances such
as TV, screen, another phone, fan, etc.. Do not place the base station in direct sunlight or near a heat source.
The charging system of this model can cause the mobile handset and batteries to overheat. This is normal and
does not damage the devices. Use only original batteries. The warranty does not cover damage caused by using
other batteries.
c. Connecting the base station to the telephone network (fig. 5g)
First connect the telephone cable to the back of the base station

IMPORTANT :
• The plug must be fully inserted into the phone jack (there should be some resistance), otherwise the connection
will fail
• Use only the original telephone cable, as the connection might fail with other connection cables.
