THE CRUISE CONTROL
Advice
The part „Cruise control", ordering No. ·KODA BEA 400 002, is intended solely for
professional mounting by the contract partners of ·koda Auto. The mounting
requires the employment of special tooling and Workshop Manuals; because of that,
the „Cruise control" must not be sold to final users in a not mounted state.
Add on control is similar to appointments supplied directly ex works - Paket
8T2.
It can be installed in all ·koda Fabia, Fabia Combi and Fabia Sedan cars with the bo-
ard network control unit 6Q1... ... or 6Q0... ... At cars with the control unit 6Q2... ... it
is necessary to change it (for instructions see the Workshop Manual).
ATTENTION!
The cruise control system cannot be employed with the cars provided with the
1,2l/40 kW engine.
We do not recommend installation in cars with low-efficiency engines (e.g. 1.0 l/
37 kW, 1.4 l/44 kW), where speed maintaining might be problematic with higher
engine load.
In vehicles equipped with 1.4 l/55kW and 1.4 l/74kW, the cruise control cannot be
used combined with the 036 906 034T and 036 906 034R engine control units.
The proper function of the cruise control for this engines can be guaranteed
only when combined with the 036 906 034AE, 036 906 034BL and 036 906 034BK
engine units since 14. 12. 2000!
In vehicles equipped with 1.4 l/44 kW and 1.4 l/50 kW engines, a sporadic cruise
control failure may occur within "the power surges" caused by e.g. wiper tur-
ning on. This effect cannot be claimed as the defect, if the cruise control is addi-
tionally installed.
