11.1 Cleaning
Reasons for regular and thorough cleaning (basic
cleaning/main cleaning):
– Ensuring the necessary hygiene. Always keep the
goods area in a clean condition.
– Lowest possible energy consumption.
– Maintaining trouble-free operation.
– Extension of the service life of the appliance.
WARNING
Damage to the electrical system and
refrigerant circuit due to the use of
steam and high-pressure cleaners.
Contact with live parts may result in electric
shock.
Flammable refrigerant can escape and cause
an explosive gas/air mixture. Fire hazard due
to sparking or overload.
▪ Do not use steam or high-pressure clean-
ers for basic cleaning.
▪ Follow the instructions for main cleaning.
CAUTION
Material breakage.
Risk of falling. Risk of impact due to the pos-
sibility of products falling. Cutting injuries.
▪ Do not climb onto or into the unit.

Use protective gloves for cleaning.

11.1.1 Basic cleaning

NOTICE
Material damage due to incorrect cleaning
agents.
▪ Do not use abrasive or chemically aggressive de-
tergents/solvents.
▪ Do not use acids or alkaline detergents.

devices.
▪ Do not use hard, pointed objects such as steel
blades.
▪ Do not use hard, coarse cleaning equipment such
as steel wool or paper towels.
Material damage due to incorrect cleaning.
▪ No cleaning agent residues may remain on plastic
parts.
▪ Always wash off plastic parts with clean water.
Suitable cleaning agents and equipment
All cleaning equipment must be clean.

Cleaning steps
CAUTION
Removal of the return air grille.
Risk of injury from rotating parts. Hands may
become trapped.
▪ The return air grille is permanently moun-
ted and may only be removed by qualified
staff.
– Visual inspection of the area under the return air
grille.
In the event of contamination, contact the mainten-
ance service (see →Maintenance services).

– Transfer goods to another device with the same
product temperature class.
– Remove food residues, spilled liquids, and pack-
aging residues.
– Clean the display shelves, including the price la-
belling rails.
– Clean the bottom shelf and interior surfaces.
– Clean the outside of the appliance surfaces.
– Clean the glass surfaces.
