8.1.1 "Pressure reached" switch output

The "pressure reached" switch output is only available in
"ED12 with integrated X1S plug, M12, and integrated X2M
socket, M12" devices.
The ED12 with integrated X1S plug, M12, and integrated X2M
socket, M12, recognizes whether the desired outlet pressure is set
within a tolerance of ±200 mbar.
The switch output at pin 1 in the integrated X2M socket, M12,
switches to a value that is the same as the supply voltage or 2.0
volts smaller (high level), as long as the actual value is within the
tolerance range of ±200 mbar around the set point.
If the actual value is outside the tolerance range, the switch output
has a voltage of < 2.0 V DC (low level).
This signal can be used e.g. by the controller to enable additional
process steps.

Controlling the pressure

Depending on the model, the outlet pressure of the ED12 can be
stipulated by the current, voltage, or a potentiometer.
The characteristic curves in the following section depict the linear
interrelation between current and outlet pressure or voltage and
outlet pressure, depending on the model.
The device generates the supply voltage for the potentiometer in
devices with an external potentiometer. The sliding contact of the
potentiometer is connected with the input set point (see
"Connecting the supply voltage and set point" on page 49).
1. Select the correct characteristic curve using the outlet
pressure and device number.
2. Determine the desired outlet pressure.
3. Find the current or voltage in the characteristic curve to set the
desired outlet pressure.
4. Depending on the model, control the outlet pressure either via
the controller or a potentiometer.
