Maintenance and repair

in accordance with VwVwS 1999. When disposing of these media, comply with the corre-
sponding local guidelines for propanediol and propylene glycol!

Suitable for medical applications
Medicinal white oil is filled into the sealing chamber ex-factory. When changing the oil, the
following oil types are recommended:
▪ Aral Autin PL*
▪ Shell ONDINA 919
▪ Esso MARCOL 52* or 82*
▪ BP WHITEMORE WOM 14*
▪ Texaco Pharmaceutical 30* or 40*
All oil types marked with "*" are approved for use with foods in accordance with "USDA-
H1".
Use the following greases:
▪ Esso Unirex N3
▪ Tripol Molub-Alloy-Food Proof 823 FM (with "USDA-H1" approval)
Refer to the supplied configuration for the filling quantities.
To ensure reliable operation, maintenance work must be carried out regularly. Depending on
the real environmental conditions, contractually differing maintenance intervals can be
specified! If strong vibrations occur during operation, the pump or installation must be
checked regardless of the specified maintenance intervals.
8000 operating hours or after 2 years at the latest
▪ Visual inspection of the connection cable
▪ Conduct visual inspection of accessories
▪ Visual inspection of the coating and housing for wear
▪ Function test of monitoring devices
▪ Draining the leakage chamber
▪ Coolant change
▪ Sealing chamber oil change
NOTICE! If a sealing chamber control is installed, the oil is changed according to the indi-
cator!
15000 operating hours or after 10 years at the latest
▪ General overhaul
Under harsh operating conditions, the specified maintenance intervals must be shortened, if
necessary. Harsh operating conditions include:
▪ Fluids with long-stranded components
▪ Turbulent intake (e.g. due to air intake, cavitation)
▪ Highly corrosive or abrasive fluids
▪ Highly gaseous fluids
▪ Operation at an unfavorable duty point
▪ Pressure surges
If using the pump under harsh conditions, signing a maintenance contract is recommended.

Sharp edges on the impeller and suction port!
Sharp edges can form on the impeller and suction port. There is a danger of limbs being
severed! Protective gloves must be worn against cutting injuries.
