7. Source button: Press the Source button to go to audio, CD
or AUX mode (external mode for MP3). Press it again to go
back to the original mode.
8. Volume buttons: press the button + or - increase or de-
crease the volume.
9. SEL button: lets you select the following control functions:
1) Bass
2) Treble
3) Balance
4) Fader
5) Volume
To adjust the selected function, press the volume + or - button.
Bass: adjusts low frequencies.
Treble: adjusts high frequencies.
Balance: adjusts audio between left and right speakers.
Fader: adjusts audio between front and rear speakers.
To increase the volume of the rear speakers press the volume
+ button. To increase the volume of the front speakers, press the
volume - button.
Note: Adjustment of bass and treble is possible only if the EQ
button is set to DSP Off.
10. Memory 1 button/Pause-Play: in radio mode, press this
button for a few seconds to memorize the current station in the
memory 1 position. To recall this station, press this button again.
In CD mode, this button plays or pauses a CD.
11. Memory 2 button/INT: in radio mode, press this button for
a few seconds to memorize the current station in the memory 2
position. To recall this station, press this button again. In CD
mode, press this button to play 10 seconds of each track on the
CD. To deactivate this function, press the button again.
12. Memory 3 button/RPT: in radio mode, press this button
for a few seconds to memorize the current station in the memory
3 position. To recall this station, press this button again. In CD
mode, press this button to repeat the same track continuously
(repeat). To deactivate the function, press the button again.
13. Memory 4 button/RDM: in radio mode, press this button
for a few seconds to memorize the current station in the memory
4 position. To recall this station, press this button again. In CD
mode, press this button to play tracks in random sequence. To
deactivate the function, press the button again.
14. Memory 5 button/DN: in radio mode, press this button for
a few seconds to memorize the current station in the memory 5
position. To recall this station, press this button again. In CD
mode, this button lets you browse the folders in CD-R and CD-
RW disks.
15. Memory 6 button/UP: in radio mode, press this button for
a few seconds to memorize the current station in the memory 6
position. To recall this station, press this button again. In CD
mode, this button lets you browse the folders in CD-R and CD-
RW disks.
16. BND button: press the BND button to select one of the fol-
lowing bands of frequencies: FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1 or AM2.
17. Station search + and station search - buttons: press
the station search + button to manually increase the frequency
of a station. Press and hold this button to search for the station
with the next highest frequency. The search ends as soon as a
station is found with a sufficiently strong signal. Press the sta-
tion search - button to manually decrease the frequency of a sta-
tion. Press and hold this button to search for the station with the
next lowest frequency. The search ends as soon as a station is
found with a sufficiently strong signal. In CD mode, with these
buttons you can move to the next or previous track on the CD.
To fast forward or reverse in the current track, press and hold
the corresponding button (while a CD is playing) until you rea-
ch the desired point.
18. Reset button (not shown): if the buttons do not work and
the unit seems not to respond, use a ballpoint pen to press the Re-
set button, which is located under the front panel (press OPEN to
open the panel). The reset button is located just below the Eject
button. Press the Reset button to delete all settings in memory (ex-
cept for memorized stations) and reset the unit.
Note: The information on the display and the clock are retur-
ned to the original values.
19. Eject button (not shown): to eject a CD, open the front pa-
nel with the OPEN button and then press the Eject button which
is located on the left of the CD slot.
20. USA/Europe selector (not shown): you can select from
American radio frequencies (USA) and European frequencies by
means of a switch on the bottom of the unit. To modify the band:
1) Turn the unit off.
2) Lift the sticker located under the CD player.
3) Select the desired frequency band, indicated on the sticker.
4) Put the sticker back in place and turn the unit on.
21. Setting the time (the unit must be off): to set the time, press
the button DISP (6) and hold it down for 3 seconds until the time
starts flashing. Then set the hours using the station search +/- but-
tons (17). Press DISP again to set the minutes using the station
search +/- buttons. Press and hold DISP a third time to exit the
time setting function (or simply wait 5 seconds).
22. Display of information: while playing a normal music CD,
press DISP (6) to change between the following functions:
1) Clock (shown only for 5 seconds)
2) CD track number/duration
When playing a CD that contains an MP3 file, press DISP (6)
to change between the following modes:
- Clock (shown only for 5 seconds)
- Track number / duration
- Folder name
- File name
- Track name
- Artist name
- Album name
