Removing the air filter
• Remove the seat, S, by slackening screw V.
• Remove the general protection fuse.
• Remove battery B by removing the elastic band and disconnect-
ing the terminals.
• Remove partition P to access screw R.
• Remove filter F by slackening the two fixing screws, R.
The air filter element must be cleaned at the intervals specified.
Clean the air filter more frequently if you are riding in unusually
wet or dusty areas.
Make sure the air filter element is properly seated in
the air filter case.
The engine should never be operated without the air
filter element, otherwise the piston and/or cylinder may
become excessively worn.

ADJUSTING THE CARBURETTOR
The carburettor is an important part of the engine and requires
very accurate adjustments. Therefore, most carburettor adjust-
ments should be left to an Authorised MALAGUTI Service Centre,
who has the necessary professional knowledge and experience.
The carburettor has been set and extensively tested at the
MALAGUTI factory. Changing these settings may result in poor
performance or damage to the engine.
