BREATHERS AND DISCHARGES
IDROBLOC 3 C
IDROBLOC 5 C
IDROBLOC 8 C
BEFORE STARTING-UP
Before starting, the following checks are recommended:
- That the plant has been filled and the air bled;
- That the electric connections have been made correctly;
- That the line voltage is inside the acceptable tolerances
(±10% of the nominal value);
DEVICE OPERATION
The device operation is fully controlled by the electronic board
provided with microprocessor.
When the IDROBLOC C is switched on, the two-way valve,
normally switched for heating operation, switches over to coo-
ling operation.
About 30 seconds after switching on, the circulation pump
comes into operation; after about 3 minutes, the compressor
starts and the device starts producing cooled water.
FIRST START UP
The start-up must be agreed on in advance depending on the
times to produce the plant.
Before the AERMEC technical service team is called in, all the
preliminary work (electric and hydraulic connections, filling
and bleeding of the air from the plant) must have been com-
STARTUP
To start the IDROBLOC C system in summer operation (distri-
bution of cooled water to the fan coils), act as follows:
- Make sure that the hydraulic circuit is not intercepted at any
point, and that the water can circulate freely;
- Switch off the boiler (where applicable) or make sure that the
hot water supply circuit is intercepted;
- Switch on the IDROBLOC C through the main switch.
After these operations, the IDROBLOC C prepares for summer
operation and after a few minutes (the circulation pump and
the compressor come into operation, in this order) the produc-
tion of chilled water is activated.

N.B. Check that all the power clamps are locked tight. Slack
terminals may cause overheating of the components and
cables.
Failure to comply with this precaution may cause serious
damage to the compressor and result in the warranty being
declared null.
The device will continue operating until the temperature of
the water returning from the plant, which can be read on the
display, reaches the temperature set; after which the compres-
sor switches off, and will switch back on again when the tem-
perature of the water returning increases by 2 °C.
In any case, to avoid frequent start-ups, after each stop, three
minutes will have to elapse before a new start-up of the com-
pressor.
pleted.
For the setting of all the functional parameters and for detailed
information about operation of the machine and of the control
board, refer to the chapter on operation.
At this point the fan coils come into operation: the designer
or installer will be able to give information on the maximum
number of these that can operate simultaneously (either all of
those installed or possibly only some: depending on the ther-
mal loads of the various rooms).
If more fan coils than allowed came into operation, IDROBLOC C
would be unable to fully cool the water circulating, and the
rooms serviced would only be partially cooled.
The IDROBLOC C alerts the user of this situation by flagging " Ht "
on the display.
