STOPPING OF THE BOILER

Certain boiler models may stop working if, following an acci-
dental manoeuvre, the IDROBLOC C and the boiler are simul-
taneously switched on for winter operation.
See the boiler instruction booklet for the procedure to follow in
such cases. It is possible to avoid such a situation occurring by

WINTER OPERATION

The following is a reminder of the operations required to switch
from summer operation to winter operation, for any other
information, refer to the user instruction booklet coming with
the boiler. To set the IDROBLOC C system for winter operation
(distribution of hot water to the fan coils), proceed as follows:
- Make sure that the hydraulic circuit is not intercepted at any
point, and that the water can circulate freely;
- Check that the IDROBLOC C is switched off (switch in off
position);
OVERLOAD SIGNALING
If a greater number of fan coils than allowed by the available
cooling power are operating simultaneously, the water cannot
cool to the set-point temperature set and becomes stable at a
higher temperature; this operation condition is signalled by
appearance on the display of "Ht".
Note that this situation does not prejudice proper IDROBLOC
C operation. The unit remains in operation.

ANTIFREEZE PROTECTION

During the winter time, if the plant is idle, the water present
in the exchanger and in the storage may freeze over, causing
irreparable damage to the exchanger, complete evacuation of
the chilling circuits and, sometimes, damage to the compres-
sors.
To avoid the risk of freezing, there are two possible solutions:
1)
Complete evacuation of the water from the exchanger and
from the storage at the end of the season and refilling at the
start of the next season.

CONTROL PANEL DESCRIPTION

The command panel of the unit allows the quick setting of the
machine's operating parameters, their visualisation at any time,
and the immediate summary of the machine's operating status.
The display shows the operating information, the parameters
set or measured, and any alarms which have intervened.
The card memorises all the settings saved with each modifica-
tion and used for re-ignition after a switch-off owing to lack of
voltage.
With the installation of the PR3 remote panel accessory, it is
possible to command the switching on and off from a distance,
along with the visualisation of the alarms summary with a red
indicator light (alarms), the selector switch for the operating
mode (cool-heat) is deactivated.
With the installation of the PRD1 remote panel accessory, it is
possible to repeat from a distance all the functions of the con-
trol panel actually on the machine.
The panel has 4 multi-function keys: by pressing one or two
ON/OFF CONTROLS
The IDROBLOC C can be switched on and off through the
switch placed on the control panel . When the power sup-
ply is on and the switch of the unit is on OFF position, the
IDROBLOC C is in stand-by mode, the antifreeze heater is
working.
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
• Evaporator inlet water temperature control;
• Complete alarm management;
• Attachable remote control (PRD1) for complete control over
unit functions.
• Defrosting handling.
referring to the chapter "Electric connections".
Other causes that may result in the boiler stopping and the
relative remedial actions are described in the booklet coming
with the device.
- Switch the boiler on in winter operation, referring if necessary
to the instructions booklet.
IDROBLOC C is provided with an antifreeze protection resi-
stance - the unit must be powered electrically if this is to be
active.
A heating element for the storage tank is also available (RA
accessory).
If an overload is signalled, it is recommended that the fan
coils in excess be excluded from operation.
If this is not done, the temperature of the water sent to the fan coils
stabilizes at a temperature higher than the set temperature and
there is a risk that the well-being conditions will not be achieved in
the rooms conditioned.
2) Use of the exchanger's internal heating resistance and that
of the exchanger.
A heating element for the storage tank is also available (RA
accessory).
IDROBLOC C must be kept under live voltage for the entire
period that frost is possible (machine in stand-by). The
resistance does not protect the hydraulic plant.
3) The water use with adapted percentage glicole in the
hydraulic system.
keys at the same time, you can control all the parameters and
functions of the unit.
