ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
The unit is fully wired in the factory and, for start-up, requires
a power supply according to the indications on the unit data
plate, intercepted with the on-line protections.
All the electrical connections must be conforming to local sta-
tutory regulations in force at the time of installation.
The diagrams shown in the following documentation must only
be used as an aid for the presetting of electric lines. For the
installation requirements, refer to the wiring diagram supplied
with the device.
With reference to the IDROBLOC C wiring diagram, the fol-
lowing are available:
- The 6 and 6A clamps marked with an R; this is a normal-
ly open contact with which to control an On/Off valve for
the subdivision into zones or for intercepting the hot circuit
upstream of the IDROBLOC C when this is on, or to control
switching-on of the fan coils;
- The 7 and 7A clamps marked with an R; this is a normally
closed contact, through which to remove the boiler enable-
ment when the IDROBLOC C is on. Simply connect to the
boiler thermostat terminals, present on all models: consult the
instruction booklet provided with the boiler.
CONNECTION CABLES CHARACTERISTICS
Use type H05V-K or N07V-K cables with 300/500 V insulation.
Use power supply cables with minimum cross section area
2
2.5mm
.
If installing the switches for remote control, the connections to
the unit's terminal strip must be made using shielded cables.
The max. distance allowed is of 30 m (PR3), beyond this distan-

ce use is recommended of the accessories PR3 and SDP (maxi-
mum distance = 150m) or PRD1 (maximum distance = 1000m).
All the cables must be routed inside a tube or cable duct until
they reach the inside of the unit.
The cables at the output of the tube or cable duct must be pla-
ced in such a way as not to undergo traction or twisting stresses
and at any rate protected from external agents.
For all the connections follow the wiring diagrams coming with
the device and shown in this documentation.
IDROBLOC C must be powered with a 230 V ~ 50 Hz single-
phase voltage.
It is necessary and obligatory, in order to protect the unit
against short-circuits, to equip the power supply line with an
omnipole magneto-thermal switch (IG) with minimum ope-
ning distance of the contacts of 3 mm and characteristic C.
- there are two cable entries for the electrcial connections, one
is on the right-hand side near the plumbing connections and
one is at the back, unscrew and remove the upper panel to
access the connection terminals of the electric box and follow
the electric connection diagram.
The breaker/switch must be provided and installed inside the
dwelling.
WARNING: the antifreeze protection is activated only when
the unit is powered.
