Introduction to the instructions and
warnings
This manual is only intended for qualified technical
installation personnel.
None of the information contained in this document may
be considered of interest to the end user.
This manual refers to keypads with interface of the
ROGER series H85/TTD for ROGER automation control
and other devices that are within the specifications.
Read the instructions carefully before
installation.
In accordance with the relevant legislation,
installation should only be performed by
qualified service personnel.
WARNINGS

the specified currents and voltages, respect the technical
11
specifications of the product.

CAUTION! These devices are sensitive to electrostatic
discharges, therefore avoid touching the sides of the card
and wires with your hands.

Product description
12
12
Numeric touch keypad that can be used in two different
13
ways:
13
• connected
13
H85/DEC/BOX using a two-wire 0.5mm
14
entering one of the user codes stored on the interface
14
memory, it is then possible to activate one of the four
14
relays on the interface.
14
• powered directly by 12-24Vdc, it can be connected to an
15
access control system by choosing the operating mode
15
which uses a 3-way dip-switch (Wiegand 26 bit, 37 bit,
15
50 bit or ISO2). The description of these features can be
found in Chapter 12.
15
The keyboard has a 6 white LED backlight: normally
15
dimmed in stand-by mode, it lights up when the keyboard
15
is in operation.
16
16
When used in combination with H85/DEC/BOX, the
16
maximum number of keyboards that can be connected to
16
a single control interface is 4, thus allowing activation from
17
several remote locations.
17
Safety is ensured by a proprietary communication protocol
developed by Roger Technology that makes use of dynamic
17
data encryption, making it impossible to decode the
communication; the interface has an auxiliary alarm relay,
17
which is activated when it detects an attempt to tamper
17
with the system.
17
It is possible to store up to 500 user codes, each of which
can have a maximum of 6 digits.
18
The storage of codes and other operations are done
18
through the keyboard (without the need to access the
18
interface) protected by security password.
18
The password must be personalized during installation,
18
because all interfaces have the same factory pre-set
18
password (0000).
It is recommended to use a code that is up to 5 digits for
18
optimal system security as well as ease of use; for the more
19
demanding users who seek maximum security there is a
19
special mode, which is described in section 6 ADVANCED
19
FEATURES: MASKING OF THE CODE.
56
It is also possible to connect the interface to the
H85/TTS keyboards series, provided that the total number
of keyboards is not more than 4.
The numeric code keypad exists in three versions:
• H85/TTD/E: version for wall mounting.
• H85/TTD/TRIX: version for pedestal mounting
• H85/TTD/I: built-in version.
Keyboard decoding interface:
• H85/DEC/BOX: version with IP54 external box
Spare part codes:
• H85/TTD: replacement keyboard, includes all the
components shown in Figure 1.
• H85/DEC: replacement of the interface, circuit board
(Figure 6, detail F).
