4.8 LOWERING THE PONYBENCH BTPLUS LIFT

The lift is lowered as follows (Figure 9):

4.8.1 Descent to fi rst section
To lower the lift as far as <fi rst section descent>, proceed
as follows:
WARNING! Before lowering the lift, check that
there are no persons, objects and/or animals
around and below the lift that could be trapped
or crushed in the event of the vehicle falling
off..
WARNING! The base of the lift, where the
safety hook attaches, must always be clear of
all obstructions.
WARNING! Before beginning the lowering
operation, make sure that no pipes or power
tool cables are in a position in which they could
be crushed.
• Press the <ascent> button (5) and hold it down until
the anti-fall mechanical safety hook is released.
• Simultaneously press the <descent> button (4) and
the <descent to fi rst section> (6) button: the mobile
platform will descend.
• Hold down buttons (4) and (6) until PONYBENCH
BTPLUS stops automatically at about 30-35 cm due
to the tripping of the safety microswitch.
4.8.2 Complete descent
To fully lower the lift proceed as follows:
WARNING! Before starting the descent of the
last section, make sure there are no persons,
objects and/or animals around and below the
lift, who, if the vehicle fell, could be trapped or
crushed.
WARNING! The base of the lift, where the
safety hook attaches, must always be clear of
all obstructions.
WARNING! Before starting descent, make sure
that no pipes or power tool cables are in a
position where they could be crushed.
• Simultaneously press the <descent> button (4) and
the <fi nal descent> (7) button: the mobile platform
resumes its descent (press the ascent push-button
(5) if the lift is already at a height below the height that
trips the travel limit microswitch)).
• Hold down push-buttons (4) and (7) until the pads are
freed from the weight of the vehicle, i.e. the weight of
the vehicle must not bear on the lift (vehicle resting on
the fl oor).

Remove the rubber pads from the arms. Turn the
selector switch (11) clockwise so that they return on
the mobile platform. Once again press push-buttons
(4) and (7) simultaneously so that the mobile platform
does not fully return to the pit
Hold down buttons (4) and (7) until the PONYBENCH
BTPLUS mobile platform stops completely at the end
of its travel limit, in line with the fl oor.
When descent has fi nished, press the mushroom-
shaped emergency button (1) before leaving the
control console.
WARNING! In the event of danger or a
critical situation while using the lift, always
immediately press
emergency stop button.
