CARE AND CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Daily: Handwash. To disassemble the mask for cleaning, detach the 22mm diameter air tubing, headgear, mask cushion, forehead pad, and adjustable vent.
The mask and components can be washed in a solution of warm water and mild soap (e.g. Dawn® Dishwashing Liquid). Rinse the mask and components completely and allow
to air dry before reusing.
CAUTION–Do not use bleach, chlorine-, alcohol-, or aromatic-based solutions, including scented oils, to clean the nasal mask assembly or air tubing. These solutions may
cause hardening and reduce the life of the product. Do not place the tubing in direct sunlight, as it may harden and crack.
Weekly (if desired): The mask assembly is dishwasher safe if placed in the top rack of the dishwasher. It is recommended that the mask be washed separately and that all
small components be secured. Allow mask to air dry before use.
To reassemble the mask after cleaning:
Insert the Adjustable Vent into the mask body opening from the outside. Ensure that the flange of the vent is fully inserted into the opening and that the vent is seated flat
on the outside surface of the mask body. The Adjustable Vent should rotate easily within the opening.
Replace the mask cushion onto the mask body by first aligning the alignment mark on the top of the cushion with the alignment mark on the mask body, Figure 8. Next,
push the top area of the mask cushion onto the mask body, Figure 9. Continue attaching the cushion to the mask body along the sides and bottom until the cushion is com-
pletely secured, Figure 10. If necessary, adjust the position of the cushion to eliminate any wrinkles in the cushion.
Reattach the forehead pad to the forehead rest. Reassemble the headgear to the mask as instructed in either the 360 Degree Option or Over the Head Option sections of this guide.
The mask should be inspected before every use to insure that the vent holes are free from obstructions Figure 13. Replace your nasal CPAP mask if it develops cracks or tears.
NOTE–For optimum mask performance, it is recommended that you replace your mask at least once a year. See your home medical equipment provider for replacement information.
This nasal CPAP mask is intended for single-patient use only. The mask may be cleaned and reused on the same person. The mask must not be used on more
than one person.
This mask should not be used unless a positive airway pressure device is attached and operating. The vent holes (Figure 13) in the mask should never be
blocked. The flow of air from a positive airway pressure device is needed to flush the exhaled air from the mask. If the positive airway pressure device is not
operating, exhaled air may be rebreathed.
