Rotor and rotor chamber must be treated with a
neutral, universal disinfectant. Best suited for
this purpose are disinfectant sprays, ensuring
that all rotor and accessory surfaces are covered
evenly.
Please note the safety measures and
handling hints when applying these
substances!
You may disinfect the rotor and the accessories as
described in the following section. Be sure to follow the
pertinent safety procedures for handling infectious
material.
1. Remove the rotor lid and the rotor from the
centrifuge.
2. Remove the capillary tubes and dispose of
them.
3. Treat the rotor and the rotor lid according to
the instructions given for the disinfectant (soak-
ing in liquid or spraying). You must observe the
specified action times!

4. Turn the rotor head down and drain off the dis-
infectant. Thereafter thoroughly rinse rotor and
rotor lid with water.
5. Dispose of the disinfectant according to valid
regulations.
6. Aluminum rotors have to be treated with anti-
corrosive protective oil subsequently (included
in delivery).
Disinfection with bleaching lye
These agents contain highly ag-
gressive hypochlorites and must
not be used with aluminum rotors!
