TLS-50 Setup

Communications Setup

The Communications Setup procedure allows you to select whether system status and tank reports are sent to a
remote printer or transmitted via modem or direct connection to a computer.

SELECT THE COMMUNICATIONS SETUP MENU

From the Top Display Menu, scroll to the Communications Setup display. Make changes as required following
options shown in Figure 8.
COMMUNICATIONS SETUP
PRESS
AVAILABLE WITH SERIAL PACKAGE OPTION ONLY.
Use this display to select communication options of
COMMUNICATIONS SETUP
Printer, Modem, or Serial. Note: if you select modem, an
TYPE: PRINTER
auto-answer command will be sent to the modem when
the setup menup is exited.
Choose the baud rate that matches the external device
COMMUNICATIONS SETUP
connected to the console. Options are 300, 600, 1200,
BAUD RATE: 9600
2400, 4800, or 9600.
Choose the parity that matches the external device
COMMUNICATIONS SETUP
connected to the console. Options are None, Odd, or
PARITY: NONE
Even.
Choose the data length that matches the external device
COMMUNICATIONS SETUP
DATA LENGTH: 8
connected to the console. Options are 8 or 7 (must be
set to 8 for printing)
Choose the number of stop bits that match the external
COMMUNICATIONS SETUP
device connected to the console. Options are 1 or 2.
STOP BIT: 1
COMMUNICATIONS SETUP
HANDSHAKE: XON/XOFF
