1.2 Scrolling through menus
• Use the ↑ and ↓ keys to scroll through menus.
• To access a submenu, position the cursor over it and press ENTER or directly
type its number. Press CANCEL to go back to the previous menu.
1.3 Parameter programming
• To define the value of a parameter, use the ↑ and ↓ keys to place the cursor on
the line and press ENTER or directly type the number. The cursor flashes over
that value.
• Use the << and >> keys to view the various possibilities, or the numerical
keyboard to enter a value.
• To type digits in spaces generally reserved for text, press the PAPER key before
each digit.
• Confirm the parameter with ENTER and go to the next one, or cancel by pressing
the CANCEL key.
• Once all the parameters have been defined, press O.K. to save them or CANCEL
to undo modifications.
2- SCREEN
It is a liquid crystal display with 4 lines of 20 characters each. It displays the
information registered by the unit as well as the menus and parameters of the
system.
3- PRINTER
The unit incorporates a thermal printer used for printing reports, as well as bills and
tickets in the hotel mode.
3.1 Fitting the paper roll
To position the paper roll and feed the paper one line at a time, proceed as follows:
• Insert the spindle into the paper roll.
• Cut the end of the paper roll at a right angle with scissors.
• Insert the paper into the slit at the rear of the unit and press the PAPER key to
feed the paper line by line.
• Then install the roll on its holder.
• The PAPER key allows the paper to be fed line by line at any time.
• Alternatively, if you want the paper to be fed continuously from the beginning of
the process, press the CANCEL and # keys simultaneously after having inserted
the paper through the back slot.
