Electrical installation

Refer to the user manual for the flow logger to connect the instrument to the flow logger.
Operation
Do not operate the bubbler if the color of the desiccant beads are green. Permanent damage to the bubbler can
occur.
The connected control instrument supplies power to the bubbler. The bubbler has an initialization
period of 30 to 60 seconds after power is applied.

Setup options

Use the connected instrument (or FSDATA Desktop, when applicable) to configure the bubbler. An
explanation of the setup options follows.
• Bubble rate—The recommended bubble rate is one bubble per second. If the bubble rate is
measured at a location other than the installation site, use the same length and inner diameter of
the bubbler line that is used at the site. Measure the bubble rate in a depth of water that is typical
for the installation.
Monitor the number of bubbles that come from the bubbler line outlet for a period of time. If the
bubble rate is more or less than one bubble per second, increase or decrease the bubble rate at
the connected instrument.
• Auto Purge—When enabled, the auto purge option pushes air out the bubbler line at high
pressure for 1-second to remove sediment from around the bubbler line outlet. The auto purge
occurs automatically at a user-specified time interval.
• Manual Purge—The user can purge the bubbler line manually and look for bubbles to come out of
the bubbler line to validate operation and remove sediment.
